International Piano: Impressed in Carnegie Hall debut at Zankel Hall
"In Schumann's Kinderszenen, one immediately noticed her beautiful sound, sensitivity and expressive nuance. In the same composer's G minor Sonata she showed she could also play with fire and abandon. Haydn's Sonata No 23 in F major was full of character, with the necessary wit and sparkle in its finale. A true highlight was Chopin's C minor Nocturne, which featured exquisite melodic shaping, sensitive nuance and deeply felt expression. A smouldering rendition of Ravel's La valse brought the recital to a close."
